Second Level of a Healing Hospital: Having a Culture of Health and Healthy Role Models.

We can also provide your organization with a “know your health numbers” service, "well check" training; and a customized staff wellness program. Our latest addition is "The Culture of Health Leadership Class" because we have found that success is dependent on leadership understanding the expanded mission and vision of a healing hospital.
Although hospitals are in business of "health"care, the staff wellness is typically low. In addition, the foundational structures are falling apart and stress is at an all time high in most organizations. In a Healing Hospital, staff will be asked to role model health and educate patients and community members on how to improve their health. Before that is possible, the staff wellness must become a priority.
We provide many staff wellness services. Starting with a kick-off party to begin the journey to become a healing hospitals, we offer health risk assessments, education on stress reduction and promote knowing your health numbers. We train a wellness coach at your facility to provide annual "well checks." We also can customize the staff wellness program building on whatever you are currently offering. However, individual health promotion does not create a Culture of Health.
The MAJOR difference in our model is that we offer scientifically proven health improvement tools such as biofeedback in health classes at your site. Using the "Create Your Health" workbook, we have found that if 25% of the organization has made health a priority, healthy people become contagious. These 25% of early adopters lead the culture change process and soon you reach 75% participation in staff wellness. Harmony Healing House offers a low cost healing environment assessment evaluating the organization based on the 8 elements of healing. Every department of the organization offers health improvement education. They also usually offer integrative or non-invasive options healing services available. The organization works with health practitioners throughout the community through referral networks and coordinated efforts.
